I chose this photograph because i really liked the use of colours as there was multiple repetitions using white and red, on the flag the girl is wearing, the red Canadian leaf, the red leggings, the white T-shirt he is wearing matching the white on the flag, and the red hockey stick he is holding.
The changes i made to this photo was the crop because there was a lot of extra people on sides of this photo but i wanted to main focal point to be the girl and the guy standing there. I also made the lights a little darker to create more shadows as there was a lot of white colours in the photo and i enhanced the shadows as well to even further make the shadows pop without taking away from the whites in the photo and to make their hair be really outlined and textured as well as the wrinkles in his jeans. |
I chose this photo because I really like the amount of Canadian spirit in the photo as well as the shadows on the pavement.
The edits that i made to this photo was enhancing the shadows and cropping the sides to get the centre of the photo to show where the most people were i didn't want to keep the sides since there were only a few people scattered. i increased the contrast to make sure the shadows stand out a bit more from the people without making the shadows overwhelm the other colours in the photo. |
I chose this photo because i like the simplicity of this photo. It was one of my favourite shots of a person just alone. I liked the focus and the glow that comes through her Canadian flag. I liked this photo because it was candid and i like the natural light and her flag flowing in the breeze and her unawareness during the photo. Another thing i like about this photo is the red and green colours together and i think this photo well represents Canadian spirit with the red and white colours, hockey, and the Canadian flag.
The edits i made to this photo were the crop making sure i didn't crop at a bending point (just below her knees) while still keeping the whole hockey stick in the photo and not too much space above her head but not too little to make it look squished. |
